If you're within reach of the Waikato, look out! Cambridge is set to come alive shortly, as the Stragglers Charity Car Show lines up a three-day weekend packed with cars, cruises, food, and music.
The format will be the same as the last 2 years, which means a 3-day event for those interested in attending the full weekend.
Things kick off 21 November, on Friday evening, with a park-up in the town square to ease into the weekend. From 5pm, there will be food trucks and music, and it's open for anybody to attend at no cost.
Saturday brings the annual mystery cruise, departing from the Vintage Car Club site on McLean Street at 1pm. Drivers can arrive from midday for a coffee, but you'll want to grab lunch from town if you need food.
All are welcome to join in on this yet-to-be-revealed mystery route. Later that same night, the Stragglers Rod and Kustom Club are hosting their social, which doubles as the club's 21st birthday celebration — promising plenty of great yarns and laughs. Tickets are available shortly.
The main event, though, is Sunday's Charity Custom & Classic Car Display. From 9am to 2pm, the Cambridge lakefront will be filled with hundreds of classics, hot rods, and kustoms, alongside food stalls and live entertainment. It's a show not to be missed if you're in the area, and entry is just a gold coin donation, with proceeds going on to support local charities.
Our show is known as the biggest one-day car show in NZ. So come along and be a part of it - food stalls & live music.
