We stock the highest quality of European-made automotive paint systems because they deliver the best finish while remaining one of the best 'value for money' systems on the New Zealand market.
With our automotive range almost completely European manufactured, the quality is second to none.
We have a large range of refinishing products including primers, colours and clear for every application. We stock an extensive range of support products which include body fillers, abrasives, paint strippers, masking products, rust treatment and preventative products, as well as a full range of application and safety equipment.
We cater for New Zealand's 'state of the art' collision repair centres, vehicle restoration specialists, commercial transport and fleet painters - right through to the DIY expert in car paint.
...meaning less stock, less investment, a high turnover rate and an easier application. This is also helped by using a selected amount of ancillary products such as hardeners, thinners, base materials and clear coats, so it keeps the system as simple as possible.
Linkup Paint Supplies is proud to offer our custom paint mixing service to our customers. If you're needing a custom colour for your car, ute, motorbike, or any other vehicle, we can help, so contact us today for pricing and availability.
We are also able to make up brush pots (touch up paint) and spray cans for touching up your vehicle, or 100ml to 20l+ mixes for bigger paint jobs.
We have access to all the major brand colours, and our paint technicians are skilled at getting nearly every single colour under the sun. The only limit is your imagination.
To match your paint to the exact colour of your car, we'll need your OEM colour code. You can locate the paint code on your vehicle, or if you can pop in to our branch we'll help you figure out your colour code.
For touch up paint we highly recommend using basecoat with a clear coat over the top. Our high-quality paint is custom mixed in all colours to blend seamlessly with your vehicle's factory finish.
Yes: Our system allows us to mix car paint into an aerosol can.
If your DIY car paint repair project comes out a little uneven, you can try using a bit of rubbing compound on it to level off the paint. If that doesn't work, wet-sanding with a very fine sandpaper should fix it.
We are often asked what the best gun setup is. While not every gun is the same, we have put together a small chart of what setup we recommend that you use when spraying.
1 - Fan: Full out then half turn in
2 - Fluid: 4 turns out
3 - Gauge: 2 bar (30psi)
