DeBeer 5-099 Blending Agent

#32 - DeBeer 5-099 Blending Agent

DeBeer 5-099 Blending Agent

For the De Beer 500 BeeroBase System

When blending a silver or pearl colour through a blend panel, 5-099 can first be applied (before the colour application) to create a "soft surface" for the silver or pearl pigments to lay onto.

This softer surface or "wet bed" as it is sometimes called allows the colours pigments to blend/fade (sit) onto the surrounding or blend panel in a much more stable/uniform way.

*As opposed to not putting a wet bed down and then having to work harder to create a nice soft colour blend transition over the “very hard” OEM surface.

5-099 Blending Agent comes RFU (Ready for Use)

Prepare the blend panel:

Wet-Bed Area

  • Degrease with 1-951 Silicone Remover.
  • Abrade the surface with P800 or finer abrasive.
  • Re-clean with 1-951.
  • Shake the 5-099 well before use.
  • Apply 1 x light/medium coat over the repair and blend area (with a 1.3-1.4 spraygun).
  • Allow to flash.
  • Apply the colour and blend out as normal.
