#36 - DeBeer 8-149 Product Update
Preferred WOW Primer/Undercoat/Sealer for 500 series Basecoat.
Note: not compatible as a WOW undercoat for 900+ series WaterBase Basecoat.
8-149 when mixed with 1-204 clearcoat in WOW Transparent Sealer mode has now been approved to be applied directly to unsanded e-coat.
This is a great time saver when coating under bonnets, door jams, insides of doors etc.
Note: Bare e-coat surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and de-greased before application.
It's always recommended that leading e-coat exterior surfaces which may be subject to stone chipping should be scotched or lightly abraded first.
To create a WOW Transparent Sealer, mix equal parts (1:1) of 8-149 with 1-204 clearcoat, then catalyse that mix at a ratio of 3:1 with MS Hardener + 20% reducer.
- Mix 8-149 with 1-204 clearcoat at a ratio of 1:1
- Now mix with MS hardener at 3:1
- Add reducer
