#1 - Z777 Mid Coat Adhesion Promoter
Z777 is a water white clear 1k adhesion promoter for OEM Basecoat/Clearcoat Finishes.
Ready for use (RFU) straight from the tin.
It is designed for application over suitably prepared OEM substrates - 2K topcoats or primers - to enhance topcoat adhesion and minimise surface preparation.
Z777 can be over-coated with Valspar Refinish 888 Series Basecoat or 862 Series 2K Polyurethane topcoat.
Notes:
- For paint to adhere to any surface, that surface first needs to be well cleaned, when it comes to adhesion promoters it is even more crucial to ensure the substrate is thoroughly cleaned (e.g. under bonnets, tight door jams and OEM blend panels).
- Where possible, prepare any areas by scuffing with P600/800 or Grey Scotch, then thoroughly re-clean. (e.g. a quality wax and grease remover).
- Do-not allow any cleaning solutions to air dry on the surface, always wipe the substrate dry with a clean cloth while the cleaner is still wet.
- Z777 is not intended to be a plastic adhesion primer.
Z777 Properties and Application
Application: 1x medium wet coat.
Flash Time: 15 minutes before topcoating (@25°C).
Gun Setup: Gravity, Conventional/HVLP - 1.3mm - 1.4mm.
Air Pressure: 2.0 bar (30psi).
