#2 - Valspar DTM Primers
Looking for an easy to use no nonsense DTM primer??
DTM2001 (white) and DTM2004 (grey) primers are formulated with hybrid epoxy and acrylic polymers, providing excellent adhesion, good corrosion resistance, with productive dry times, and a real ease of sanding.
This primer emits very low amounts of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), Hazardous Air Polluting Solvents (HAPS) and contain no isocyanates.
DTM2001 & DTM2004 are Isocyanate Free.
Suitable Substrates
- Thoroughly cleaned and sanded aluminium, steel, galvanized steel, or sand blasted steel.
- Thoroughly cleaned and sanded fiberglass, SMC, E-Coat and OEM Finish.
- Properly prepared OEM E-Coat.
Mixing Ratio (by volume)
As a Primer Surfacer: 4:1:1 - 1-3 medium wet coats.
As a Primer Sealer: 4:1:2 - 1-2 medium wet coats.
Complementary Products
Activator: DTMA DTM Activator.
Reducer: 171, 172, 173, 174, 171HP, 172HP, 173HP, and 174HP Reducers.
