#3 - Valspar AC4400 HS Clear Coat
AC4400 is a versatile and Premium, 2K High Solids acrylic polyurethane clearcoat that provides easy application, high durability and the ultimate in gloss and depth of image.
The variety of activator and reducer combinations give excellent flexibility ensuring quality results on jobs of any size.
AC4400 may be applied over 888 Series Basecoat and 862 Series Polyurethane topcoat.
AC4400 Properties and Application
Clear: 2:1:1.
Activator: HPC0 - Slow, HPC1 - Medium, HPC2 - Fast, and HPC3 - Very Fast Activators.
Reducer: 171HP, 172HP, 173HP, and 174HP Reducers.
Activators
HPC activators are compatible with HS35 Primer Surfacer, 862 Polyurethane topcoat, AC200 MS Clearcoat and AC4400 HS Clearcoat.
The universal nature of these activators help minimize inventory levels and ensure good stock rotation. HPC activators are available in four speeds to give the applicator the flexibility required when painting jobs of various sizes and in varying temperatures.
- HPC0 - Slow: Recommended for use in hot conditions and for large panels.
- HPC1 - Medium: Recommended for use in moderate conditions and for medium to small panels.
- HPC2 - Fast: Recommended for use in cool conditions and for small panels.
- HPC3 - Very Fast: Recommended for use in cool conditions and for small panels, spot repairs, or when a quick return to service is required.
Reducers
171HP-173HP High Performance Reducer: A multi-purpose high performance reducer designed specifically for Valspar Refinish products.
- 171HP: Recommended for use in hot conditions and for large panels.
- 172HP: Recommended for use in moderate conditions and for medium to small panels.
- 173HP: Recommended for use in cool conditions and for small panels.
