Bio

With a degree in Web Development and Design and a background in customer service, Damien came to work for the family business in May 2015 with no prior industry experience.

Starting in logistics and retail (including a small stint helping mix custom paint orders), Damien has moved through different areas of the business including working in the Auckland branch for 6 months when that was purchased back in 2018, and focusing on hazardous substance compliance in the Hamilton branch for 2 years after this, before moving into his role as procurement officer after our previous purchasing officer retired in 2020. In 2026, Damien moved into his current role as the "Digital Solutions & Experience Lead".

Damien's main roles involve executing a consistent purchasing schedule from our suppliers daily, looking after the 300+ brands that we have access to, while also supporting other staff with customer support. He still looks after our hazardous substance compliance, and manages our websites and marketing campaigns.
